Findings from a new study published in The Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, involving a collaborative effort between researchers at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine, Vanderbilt, and Veteran's Affairs (VA) medical centers, show that an implementation science approach using team-based coaching and automated surveillance reporting significantly reduces the risk of acquiring post-procedural acute kidney injury (AKI) when compared to other interventions.
